I was metformin hydrochloride fortunate when I was a young man – I had some great mentors in government and politics.
I was shown how things worked from a standpoint of business and how the public sector intersected with our lives and how it can affect us all.
I know that in a lot of cases, I am a very snarky and sarcastic individual, but in this case, I want to break some things down for you because, quite frankly, there are a lot of wrong definitions, stretches of the truth and outright lies that are currently being bandied about by the socialist progressives in power and their lap dogs in the media.
First:
Socialism. Fascism. These are words that are tossed about and you hear the president refute them, you hear members of the progressive socialist party claim that they aren’t socialists – until like Maxine Waters or a few others, they slip up and just admit what they are.
So what is socialism?
Here is the dictionary definition:
A theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.
How about fascism?
This is from the Concise Encyclopedia of Economics:
As an economic system, fascism is socialism with a capitalist veneer. The word derives from fasces, the Roman symbol of collectivism and power: a tied bundle of rods with a protruding ax. In its day (the 1920s and 1930s), fascism was seen as the happy medium between boom-and-bust-prone liberal capitalism, with its alleged class conflict, wasteful competition, and profit-oriented egoism, and revolutionary Marxism, with its violent and socially divisive persecution of the bourgeoisie. Fascism substituted the particularity of nationalism and racialism—“blood and soil”—for the internationalism of both classical liberalism and Marxism.Where socialism sought totalitarian control of a society’s economic processes through direct state operation of the means of production, fascism sought that control indirectly, through domination of nominally private owners. Where socialism nationalized property explicitly, fascism did so implicitly, by requiring owners to use their property in the “national interest”—that is, as the autocratic authority conceived it.
Basically – to break it down: Socialism is direct government control by seizure of PRIVATE ASSETS and Fascism is guilting people into doing “what is right for the community”.
I know a lot of people confuse Fascism with Nazism – and that is not true. Let me restore historical correctness instead of political correctness:
Mussolini liked Marxism – studied it in Switzerland after being kicked out of Italy. He didn’t like the internationalist flavor of the Marxist theory, but liked some of the other things that he saw.
He moved back to Italy and started Fascism – the name of it is derived from the Fascisti which was his word for his followers. As the above mentioned, it goes back to the aforementioned fasces.
Fascism was actually celebrated by many in the day – from Will Rogers to President Wilson. The American Legion embraced fascism in the day.
It was basically the Marxist idea of the step between capitalism and communism with a Nationalistic flavor.
What happened was that when Adolf Hitler came around – keeping in mind that Mussolini had been in power for some time – he took the idea of the socialism/fascism that he saw in Italy and perverted it with hate and racism mixed with a hearty helping of violence.
Pure and simple – National Socialism (Nazi) is a perversion of socialism which Mussolini derived his Fascism from. Socialism is simply the step in the ladder that Marx wanted practiced to move people towards collectivism or communism.
The problem with the whole communistic economic form is that it can’t happen. Keep in mind – communism is NOT a government. It cannot BE a government, because in the perfect communistic society, there is NO government.
Everything is owned by the collective society. There is no private property, nor are there truly individual rights. Things happen specifically because it is for the good of the all, not the good of the one.
The major malfunction, as you might imagine, is that there is always some person, be it male or female, who is willing to take a sharp stick to someone for touching something that is “theirs”. More wars have been fought due to the have and have nots of a society than any other reason, and to assume that Orwell’s theory on the new world in Time Machine would work is really not based in the universe where other human beings exist.
Jealousy, anger, fear, mistrust, lies, theft – they would have to be non existent. And frankly, watching two 2 year olds play with toys together is a perfect illustration of why this doesn’t work.
One child has a block. The other child was playing with other blocks and sees the seizure of the block as a tampering with its property. Child two stands up and goes over and forcefully removes the block from child one’s hand, causing one of several reactions.
- Child one walks away, the relationship spoiled – angry as hell
- Child one retaliates – goes and takes another block
- Child one fights and either keeps or takes back the block
- Child one promotes physical harm to child two and takes the block back
- Child one goes and does physical harm to the wall child two was building
- Child one screams bloody murder for it’s ally and friend – the big person it doesn’t understand but knows if it screams it gets attention and quite possibly the block back
Sound about right?
Now – the government today, run by the progressives are about half way to what they want to succeed in. And many people who may read this article are or were willing accomplices to this theory being placed into action:
- There are things the government SHOULD control – right?
- There is money going to the arts for the good of the many
- There is money going to the poor to sit and do nothing, live in homes for next to nothing, get free food, clothes, etc. even if with some encouragement they could be self sustaining (this is not saying the people TRULY in need)
- There is jealousy being driven into place about pay, homes, rights, etc – these people EARN too much – you need to take them down a peg
- There is race division being reinforced – Black History month for example- we should celebrate their heritage every day – not just one month a year, but the division will remain when people are forced to do something – it gets their hackles up. How about telling one race that another race has special rights due to melanin levels in the skin – they can’t do it on their own – you need special help and assistance – but don’t earn too much or succeed to much or you’ll lose this
- There is class envy being reinforced – get the fat cats, the majority, the upper crust – no matter how they get there, no matter that, for example, the plumbers, auto workers, UPS drivers and all those high paid union folks look like upper crust to the folks making 25,000.00 a year – they don’t realize that until the people at the top are the only people within miles of the top of the hill – the people at the top aren’t going to be satisfied with knocking down just the few rich people. The ponzi schemes will eventually require THEIR money too – but right now they are too happy throwing tomatoes at the super wealthy to see the tax man with the cudgel sneaking up behind them
- Religion is bad – state is good.
- Dissent against the people in power today is bad.
- Dissent is radical.
- Politics is boring
- Internet bloggers and political people are stupid, incompetent, radical wing nuts, unless they are part of HuffPo, Politico, The Hill, or any other group loosely associated with Soros. Musn’t let the people self educate – fairness doctrine to control what people hear, after all.
- Reading is boring
- Civics and government isn’t important and played down in school if taught at all – can’t fight what you don’t understand, right?
- Community service is the purest form of self expression
- Paying more taxes is your duty
- If you can’t beat it – humiliate it, castigate it, downgrade it, trash it – don’t face it and exonerate your own ideas, just beat the hell out of the other guy.
Does any of that sound remotely accurate?
So what we see today is the fact that the progressive socialists have seized control over one important thing: schools. They teach what they want and make sure that the people are dumbed down in the schools so they sit around slack jawed and drooling and don’t question the big three media, the paper, the government.
The biggest problem was that while this started to work, more and more people began, especially in the last several years, to wake up. They saw what was happening with the government and unfortunately, they saw Bush and his government growth program. He was spending money and growing government, the Congress was going right on with him, and he didn’t come out and really defend the war in such a way as to show why we needed to be there in no uncertain terms.
So he was unpopular with his base due to his RINO nature and he was unpopular with the leftists for what they perceived as a lie with the war and the fact that he was blocking what they thought would be great social programs.
The reason he barely won both elections was primarily because he didn’t energize the conservatives of the U.S. – he put them to sleep with his compassionate conservatism, which wasn’t conservative. He didn’t get the 40% of the people who identified themselves as conservative, simply because he didn’t appeal to them.
For the most part, the last five elections have been due to having a strong progressive and a weak centrist running. Bush 1 vs Clinton. Dole vs Clinton. Bush 2 vs. Gore (though he wasn’t a STRONG progressive which is why he lost and the same for Kerry) Bush 2 vs Kerry. McCain vs. Obama.
McCain didn’t lose because the conservatives abandoned him – for the first time they came out for the most part, but Bush had done such a peachy job losing the centrists in this country, Obama pulled out a 5% victory.
Now what we are seeing is the fact that people didn’t really listen. It was too boring. It was – yawn- politics. I have American Idol to go watch, leave me alone.
Then President Barack “fundamental change” Obama came along and started forcing things through that when explained, didn’t make sense to the American people. And then the change really began to take place. And the progressive socialist party in control began to sweep towards socialization of the American private sector, all the while denying that it was actually taking place.
Folks – rest assured. It is taking place. It is a mix of socialism and fascism, with a small mix of some Nazi belittling and blaming tactics going on. The facts and the definitions are there. They don’t go away simply due to the left wishing them to. And the fact is that more and more people are waking up from the drugs that the left slipped into the kool-aid and there are an awful lot of eyes being opened in the last few elections this past year.
They are scared, and they are resorting to their Alinsky tactics of sneer, smear, break down and belittle their opponents into submission. They are worried about the numbers, they are making fun of the people exposing them, they are attacking the people who are too smart to believe that they are as stupid as the progressive socialists would have them believe.
Don’t let up folks – the battle is coming nigh to hand and right soonest the new era will begin. And in order to maintain that new era, fires must be stoked for holding the new power people’s feet therein to ensure that they don’t stray down the ever tempting road of power politics for the sake of power politics.
We must make sure that the people who go to DC to represent us are true and worthy of the task, and if they prove to be not worthy, then they must soonest find themselves unemployed again.

This is a very informative article. Thank you.
Most People on the Left just push aside the comparisons but we should be alert.
And the RINOs still do not get it – hear Kyle and McCarthy on TV this morning using the words suchs a complex, complicated, confounding – instead of honest, open, as well as simple explainations of how the government job is to establish a playing field that protects property rights.
Socialism “fails” to work, because it assumes “everyone” IS working. We know better.
The Left intends to finance those that WON’T work because they feel “Guilty” for crimes no-one in this and the past few generations have nothing to do with.
It’s also about “power”, but as stated, there can be no “ruling class”.
Marxism is the philosophic fantasy of a sick old man.
Socialism is a sick society “choosing” to exist under such limitations. (We have seen this failure in Europe, over and over. No sympathy on my part for a single human being in those societies)
Communism is Socialism, with a gun held to your head. However, this CAN’T happen for the original concept to work. There can be NO ruling class. (those with the guns)
This is the rather simple explanation I used to explain this sickness to my kids many years ago. I find that while the kids picked it right up, there are adults in today’s America that can’t understand it.
Liberalism is a mental illness, “WE” my right sided friends, are the cure.
